As SRE Manager, you are directly responsible for cloud security and infrastructure, site reliability, and securing all internal and third-party systems used by Evercast.  This is a hands-on position where you must have a deep technical understanding of the technology you will be working with. You must be an expert in cloud infrastructure, containerization, with intimate knowledge of how to maintain a WebRTC conferencing system for real-time collaboration. Our customers never sleep. You have a strong aptitude for managing teams and have the ability to build new exceptional teams as we expand. You work well across the organization, collaborating directly with our Engineering team to ensure we continue to deliver world-class value to our customers in a hyper-secure environment.

You will collaborate at a high-level with software developers on how to secure their applications, but can deep-dive into the details in any or all parts of the application stack. You also develop plans and execute cross-functional, cross-divisional initiatives that address gaps, identify and realize opportunities that bring top and bottom-line benefit into the company.

• Strong technical and leadership experience, with a development background and a long track record of working effectively with Engineering
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• The ability to set priorities, plan the work, and work the plan
• Ensure Evercast is up All-The-Time without any interruptions
• Although not expected under normal conditions, 24/7 emergency response availability
• Strong knowledge of IaC tools (terraform, cloudformation etc.), CICD tools (CircleCI, GitLab etc.), and Git
• Expert at building and scaling AWS infrastructure and SaaS applications
• Strong collaboration and troubleshooting skills
• Strong knowledge of AWS services (EKS, EC2, IAM, S3, RDS, etc.)
• General knowledge about other cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, etc)
• Make Automation a priority (whenever there is a chance) rather than performing manual tasks repeatedly
• General programming (python, shell/bash etc.) knowledge to write automation scripts
• You’ve been responsible for securing and ensuring the reliability of a product or service, built in the cloud, that supports tens of thousands to millions of users
• Strong ability to understand and document existing systems, find deficiencies, refactor, and make improvements
• Experience deploying code to various environments and rolling back
• Experience building and testing robust disaster recovery plans
• Ability to configure any cloud environment for performance, redundancy and stability
• You know when to build solutions and you know when to buy them. And when you build them, you build them in code
